None of these. It’s this very simple loss of goals or objectives when sitting down at home in an effort to ‘get something done’. This is extremely difficult to do in the beginning but let me explain why:
You’ve been programmed all your life to work at a JOB, you went to school on a set schedule just like you’ve worked at a JOB.
Then what happens is that when we attempt to ‘work from home’ we have no idea of how to set any type of schedule or get anything done. How can we possibly determine where work begins in our own home on our own time? Well I have some great tricks and strategies that I use and this will help you greatly as well:
It’s very important, right in the beginning, to establish some type of routine. I know most of you have jobs and it is very difficult to work in more ‘work’ after you are tired. Do not stress yourself. Remember that all networking programs are all about just setting things in motion, whether it be a phone call about your opportunity, setting up a capture page, running an ad etc.,
Set a goal each day to do 1 thing to further promote your business, whether it’s to write a blog post, write an article, make a marketing video, etc……
If you did 1 thing for an entire year, you would have 365 different forms of content out there for someone to find online, if we did 2 things a day for an entire year we would have 730 pieces of content out there, if you got really serious and did 4 things a day then you would have……well I hope you are getting the picture 😉
I’ll be putting alot of tips and tricks in this section about how I manage my time, time freedom is one of the biggest benefits of an online business!
How To Get Things Done
Here is An Actual Day for Me and What It Looks Like On My Daily Calendar (To Give You an Idea of what I do DAILY):
1. 1 Blog Post To Each Site Targeting a Keyword
2. YouTube Video Review of Digital Product (keyword targeted)
3. Email List Broadcast (Weekly Lesson – Training Updates To Members)
4. Research new fitness market (prepare list of high searched keywords)
5. Film new tutorial videos for BTG ‘What To Do First ‘ page
6. Setup and Test new Product on Fitness Site
– You can see from the list the easier are on top of the list while the more time consuming are on the bottom
Make this a habit of ‘Getting Things Done’ each day, no matter what, and your business will soar! Most will not do this and most will get distracted, discouraged, unfocused, etc. This is absolutely crucial to being on the ‘haves’ instead of the ‘have nots’ in online business.
Also Important: If you have a smartphone with a timer app, or on your computer use a timer for getting things completed, for instance if I give myself 20 minutes to write my blog posts or 30 minutes to answer emails, this way you will never get off track and this will keep you focused, and working smarter and faster….It’s amazing how much you can get done very quickly when you start applying this tip!
