Keyword Research is simply finding what people are searching for based around your product or opportunity and then targeting those keywords with content so you are found in search engines, videos, articles, etc. all across the internet.

There are 3 Main Points to Stick To When Picking Keyword Phrases To Rank In Google:
(This data can make you alot of money by the way)
1. Search in Google Keyword Tool External for broad and phrase matches. Look for monthly searches of about 500 or more. The more the better. Pick keywords that are most relevant to your product or opportunity.
2. Search for phrase match using google. This means the keyword phrase in quotes. “keyword phrase of choice”. Results should be about 50,000 or less.
3. Search for allintitle in google. This means you type into the search box “allintitle: keyword phrase you are researching” (WITHOUT QUOTE MARKS!). You want to have about 10,000 results or less.
If these 3 things are met, then you have a keyword phrase that is probably going to be fairly easy to get ranked on page 1 of Google for, and which is going to get enough traffic to make it worthwhile.
